| Font | A collection of letters and numbers in a paticular typepace. Ex. Times New Roman, 10 point, bold |
| Format | Involves specifying the font, alignment, margins, and other properties. The format is the layout of a document. |
| Alignment | The way lines of text are arranged relative to the edges of a block of text. Ex. Left aligned, Right aligned, Centered, and Justified |
| Tab | When the tab key is pressed, the cursor will move to the next tab location. User can indent paragraphs or lists. |
| Margins | Are the blnak space to the left and right sides and at the top and bottom of a page. |
| Header | One or more lines of text that appear at the top of every page of a document. Includes names and titles. |
| Footer | Consists of one or more lines of text that appear at the bottom of every page of a document. Includes the page number. |
| Line Spacing | Refers to the number of blank spaces between lines of type. Ex. Single-spaced and double-spaced. |
| Print Preview | An image of exactly what the printed output will look like. |
| Indent | Is one or more spaces that are used to move the text to the right of the left margin. |
| Spelling/Grammar Check | Contains a spell check program which can verify the correct spelling of words in a document. |
| Copy | To duplicate selected text, selected cells, or a selected object. Short cut is Control C |
| Cut | To remove the current selection from the document and places the selection on the clipboard for pasting for future use. Short cut method is Control X. |
| Paste | Information that has been cut or copied to the clipboard can be placed in another location. Short cut method Control V. |
