Council of Trent | A group of people that provided answers to the Protestant Complaints that met on and off for 20 years with 3 meetings. They said that only the Catholic Church could interpret the Bible and it was the only source of religious truth, and you need more than faith alone to have salvation. |

The Inquisition | Put an end to heresy as well as prepared the Index of Forbidden Books because they didn’t want people to continue reading books that contradicted the Catholic Church. |
