Worksheeta spreadsheet that contains formulas, functions, values, text, and visual aids
Fill handleis the small black square at the bottom-right corner of a cell
Name boxdisplays the address of the cell currently used in the worksheet
Insert functionclicking on this enables you to search for and select a function to insert into the active cell
Spreadsheetan electronic file that contains a grid of columns and rows containing related data
Formula bardisplays the content (text, value, date, or formula) in the active cell
Select allclick it to select everything contained in the active worksheet
Column headingthe letters above the columns, such as A, B, C, and so on
Row headingthe numbers to the left of the rows , such as 1, 2, 3, and so on
Sheet tabslocated at the bottom-left corner of the window, shows the names of the worksheets contained in the workbook; defaults are Sheet 1, Sheet 2, and Sheet 3. You can rename these and also insert more worksheets
Insert Worksheetclick this button to add a new worksheet to the workbook
Sheet navigation buttonsif the workbook contains several worksheets they may not all be displayed so use this button to display the first, previous, next to last, or last worksheet
Status barlocated at the bottom of the window, it displays information about a selected command or operation progress
Cellis the intersection of a column and a row
Cell addressidentifies a cell by a column letter and a row number
Active cellthe current cell, indicated by a dark border
Arrow keysmove one cell in the direction of the arrow
Tab keymoves right one cell in the same row
Textincludes letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces
Valueis a number that represents a quantity or an amount
Formulais a combination of cell references, operators, values, and/or functions used to perform a calculation. All formulas must BEGIN with an EQUAL SIGN (=)
Auto fillallows you to copy the contents of a cell or cell range or to continue a sequence by dragging the fill handle over an adjacent cell or range of cells
