| Line of scrimmage | Imaginary line drawn from the forward tip of the football to the side line |

| Offside | Movement across the line of scrimmage before the ball is snapped |
| Touchdown | An offense player having possession of the football in the opponent's end zone |
| Kickoff | Start of the game or after a score is made |
| Center | Offensive teammate who snaps the football to the quarterback |
| Quarterback | Offensive player who throws/hands off to teammate |
| Running back | Offensive player who carries the football |
| Wide receiver | Offensive player who catches a pass from quarterback |
