By December 15, 1791, three-fourths of the states had ratified the first ten ammendments, the Bill of Rights.

Third Amendment | Homeowners are not required to house soldiers |
Fourth Amendment | Freedom from unreasonable search and siezure |
Fifth Amendment | guarantees due process of law |
Sixth Amendment | Trial by jury in criminal cases, also attorney and speedy trial |
Seventh Amendment | Guarantees trail by jury for civil cases |
Eighth Amendment | Freedom from excessive punishment |
Ninth Amendment | States that there are rights not mentioned in the Constitution |
Tenth Amendment | States that States retain powers not granted to the federal government |
First Amendment | Freedom of press |
First Amendment | Freedom of assembly |
