| line | An element of art, a path made by a moving point. Can be thick, thin, wavy, straight, etc.... |
| shape | An element of art, a 2-dimensional enclosed area. |
| geometric | Shapes and forms that are built primarily of straight lines (but include circles and spheres). Think math shapes. |
| organic | Shapes and forms that are more free flowing. Think nature. |
| symmetry | Two halves being equal but opposite. Fold it in half along a "line of symmetry" and the two sides with match. |
| radial symmetry | A type of balance where something is repeated around a center point. Ex: ferris wheel, flower, kaleidoscope |
| texture | An element of art. The way something feels or appears to feel. |
| actual texture | The way something really feels. Ex: an actual teddy bear |
| implied texture | The way something appears to feel. Ex: a photograph of a teddy bear |
| form | An element of art. A 3-dimensional enclosed area. A sculpture or piece of work you can walk around and see from different angles. |
| right brain | The creative side of your brain: Intuitive, big picture, symbols, timeless |
| left brain | The logical side of your brain: language, analytical, sequential, details, rules and patterns, sense of time. |
| value | An element of art. The lightness and darkness within a picture. Use of shading. |
| mandala | A circular meditative work of art that often times focuses on a central point. Ours were based on radial symmetry. |
| spirit animals | Guides from nature, sometimes thought to relate to your personality, to guide you, or to bring you luck or protection. |
