Navigation bar | A series of text links across the top or bottom of a webpage that, when clicked, will link to another webpage on the same website. |
Portable Document Format (PDF) | A technology that creates an image that preserves the look of your file but that cannot be easily changed or edited. |
Rich Text Format (RTF) | A universal file format, using the .rtf file extension, that can be read by many word processing programs. |
Sorting | The action of ordering data, usually in alphabetical or numeric order. |
Text link | A hyperlink applied to a selected word or phrase. |
Variable | In an equation, a letter that represents a value. |
Web browser (Browser) | Software that interprets HTML files, formats them into webpages, and then displays them. |
Web Page format | A file type that saves a Word document as an HTML file, with some elements of the webpage saved in a folder, separate from the webpage itself. |
Webpage | A file coded in HTML that can be viewed on the Internet using a web browser. |
Website | A group of related webpages published to a specific location on the Internet. |
Wildcard | A special character such as * or ? that is used to search for an unknown term. |
