roots
One function is to take in water and minerals. Another function is to anchor the plant in the soil.

Tubelike vessels that move food from the leaves, down to other parts of the plant.

A soft green plant stem.

A rigid plant stem.

The green pigment in plants that traps light from the sun, used in photosynthesis.
photosynthesis
The process plants use to produce food by using the energy from sunlight to change H2O and CO2 into sugar and oxygen.
