Seam Allowance | Using the 15 line all through a project, keeping it consistent. |
Hem | The folded bottom edge of pants, shorts, sleeves or skirts to "seal" the raw edge. |
Pinking Shears | Used to remove half of the seam allowance, making them neat, keep them from unravelling. |
Seam Ripper | Tool used to remove sewing mistakes. |
Needle | Whether by hand or machine, this is what does the "sewing" |
Inner Seams | The lines of sewing that run along your inner thigh. |
Center Seam | The seam that runs down from your belly button, into the crotch and up your rear end to your lower back. Joins your two legs together! |
Side Seam | The lines of sewing that run down from your waist to your outer thigh, knee or ankle (depending on what your wearing!) |
