wide shot (WS) | the subject takes up full frame; or at least as much as comfortably possible,  |
midshot (MS) | shows some part of the subject in more detail while still giving an impression of the whole subject,  |
mid-closeup (MCU) | halfway between a mid-shot and a closeup |
closeup (CU) | a certain feature or part of the subject takes up the whole frame,  |
extreme closeup | gets right in and shoes extreme detail,  |
cut-in | shows some other part of the subject in detail,  |
cut-away | a shot of something other than the subject |
two-shot (TS) | a shot of two people, framed similarly to a MS,  |
over-the-shoulder shot (OSS) | looking from behind a person, over their shoulder, at the subject,  |
noddy shot (NS) | usually refers to a shot of the interviewer listening and reacting to the subject,  |
point-of-view shot (POV) | shows view from the subjects perspective,  |
weather shot | the subject is the weather,  |
