Science prefixes and suffixes

The following flashcards are root words that will help you learn science vocabulary. If the root word is followed with a hyphen, it is most commonly used as a prefix. If it is preceded with a hyphen, it is most commonly used as a suffix. If it is both preceded and followed by a hyphen, it can be used either as a prefix or suffix. If it has no hyphen around it, it is usually used alone.
