Browser HomepageThe first page that comes up when you open your browser. You can change it if you want.
URLUniform Resource Locator. The "address" of a website. It contains the protocol and the domain name. It can also include a path and filename.
Digital LiteracyBeing able to find, understand and use the resources on an electronic device.
Search EngineSoftware which creates a database of websites, which is searched using keywords.
Phrase searchUsing quotation marks to limit a search to a specific phrase.
Metasearch engineA search engine that searches and compiles the information from other search engines.
Boolean OperatorsAnd, Or, NOT. They are used to refine and filter and search.
