parallel lines, lines in a plane that do not intersect
alternate exterior angles, pair of angles that lie on opposite sides of transversal, outside the other two lines
alternate interior angles, pair of nonadjacent angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal
corresponding angles, angles on same side of transversal, same side of the other lines (same relative position)
exterior angle, angle formed by one side of a polygon and the extension of an adjacent side
interior angle, angle on the inner sides of two line cut by a transversal
consecutive interior angle, pair of angles on the same side of a transversal and between two lines intersected by transversal
transversal, line that intersects two or more lines
adjacentnext to or adjoining something
skew, two lines that are not coplanar and do not intersect
Postulate 13: Parallel Postulate, If there is a line and a point not on the line, then there is exactly one line through the point parallel to the given line.
Postulate 14: Perpendicular Postulate, If there is a line and a point not on the line, then there is exactly one line through the point perpendicular to the given line.
