| Apraxia | Inability to execute purposeful, learned, voluntary or organized mvmt despite normal str and coord (no paralysis). from damage to frontal/parietal lobes. Ex. If told to take out keys, might produce coins or comb to open door. |

| Akathesia | Uncomfortable feeling of motor restlessness. Inability to sit still. |
| Aphasia | Deficit in or inability to use or understand spoke, symbolic or written lang. |
| Broca's Aphasia | Knows what to say, sounds garbled or 1 wd repeated over & over. Can't talk but muscles/vocal cords ok. |

| Athetosis | Movement abnormatilies, in Huntingtons or any chorea. |
| Akinesia | Slowness or loss of mvmt. Masklike facial expression, emotionless speech. |
| Bradykinesia | Akinesia, slowness of movement |
| Addison's Disease | Undersecrete ACTH of adrenal cortex: fatigue, fainting, loss appetite, decr wt., depr, apathy. |
| Parkinson's Disease | Degenerative brain d/o: tremor, akathesia, disturbed posture/equilibrium, muscle rigidity, akinesia. |
| Cushing's Disease | Oversecrete ACTH of adrenal cortex: obesity, mem loss, mood swings, depr, somatic delusions. |
| Hyperthyroidism | Oversecrete thyroxin: speeded up metabolism, wt loss, irritable, nervous, insomnia: GRAVEs Disease |
| Grave's Disease | Oversecrete thyroxin: incr metabolism, wt loss, irritablility, nervous, insomnia. |
| Hypothyroidism | Undersecrete thyroxin: slowed metabolism, wt gain, cog-impairment, depr. |
| Hypoglycemia | Oversecrete insulin: hunger, dizziness, HA, blurred vision, palpitations, anx., depr, confusion. |
| Diabetes Mellitus | No insulin produced: high glucose blood levels: mineral loss, low bp, reduced blood flow, death. |
| Huntington's Chorea | Interited, degenerative d/o involving affective then motor/mvmt changes then behavioral chgs, personality chgs, cog. impairments. (athetosis & chorea.) |
