To create a chart:Select the cells for the chart and then on the Insert tab, in the Charts group, click the chart type to create.
Each set of data in a graph is called aseries
The chart will tend to show trendsmore quickly than the numeric table.
The chart should be a representation ofwhat you want to emphasize from the chart, e.g., totals only, sales people performance, monthly sales, etc.
3different ribbons become available once the chart has been created.
To change chart type:Under Chart Tools, on the Design tab, in the Type group, click Change Chart Type, or right-click in chart and click Change Chart Type
Chart TitlesAdds a title for the chart.
Axis TitlesAdds titles to the horizontal and vertical axes.
LegendIncludes a legend and positions it with the chart.
Data LabelsIncludes data labels on the chart.
Data TableDisplays the chart data beneath the chart.
AxesIncludes the labels on the horizontal and vertical axes.
GridlinesIncludes gridlines on the chart.
Once the chart is created, you will be able toeasily see if any patterns or trends exist in the data.
