| throw in | a ball that is put back into play by a field player using their hands. |
| shot | a ball that is kicked towards the goal with intent to score a point. |
| shield | using your body to help keep possession of the ball by getting between the player and the ball. |
| drop pass | a pass sent backwards to a teammate. |
| 1-touch pass | receiving a pass and the redirecting it to another teammate. |
| 2-touch pass | receiving the ball with a trap and then passing it onto another player. |
