| Frame | a complete video picture. NTSC televisions display 30 frames each second. |
| Headroom | the space between the top or a persons head and the top of the video screen |
| Production music | musical selections created specifically for use in audio and video programs. When customersbuy production music, they also buy copyright permissions not granted with standard music purchases, thus averting copyright violations. |

| Video noise | a poor quality video signal within the standard video signal, also known as "snow" |
| White balance | the process of adjusting the video camera or camcorder's color response to the surrounding light |
