| Producer: | you are in charge of all aspects. You run the production. You assign crew. You make sure all aspects of the production are ready for the crew. You oversee everyone. |
| Director | you are the conductor of the orchestra! Your main job is to direct your talent. Make sure your cinematographer is ready to record all scenes. You direct the crew and cast. You are working for the producer. |
| Cinematographer/Camera operator | You operate the camera. You make sure you are framing each shot right. You record everything on the camera. Y ou make sure the camera has enough battery power, room for footage, storage of footage etc. |
| Lighting Director LD | You make sure the scene is lit properly. You are in charge of reflectors, lights and other lighting tools to get the best picture. |
| Audio engineer | You are recording sound. You monitor the sound with headsets. You are in charge of all ambient recording. This make take place both on set and off. You record the sound using the appropriate sound equipment. |
| Audio Assistant: | You are at the discretion of the Audio Engineer. You are in charge of cables, boom poles etc. |
| Continuity editor: | You write down all things the actors do on scene. If they remove a tie, you make a note. You constantly look at the storyboard to determine all aspects of the production are correct. YOu will tell the director if there are any anomalies or irregularities. |
| Production Assistant #1 | You operate the clapboard. You write down the scene numbers and other appropriate information. |
| Production Assistant #2: | You are writing down everything that is recorded. You make sure all scenes are recorded. Each retake is written down on a shot log (see teacher for this sheet) |
| Production Assistant #3: | You are assisting the lighting and audio engineer. You will account for all equipment and make sure the equipment makes it to set and returned to appropriate locations in the studio. |
| Talent/ Actor | You must be in character and dressed appropriately and work with your director when action is called. You make sure you hit each mark location during the scenes as directed by the director.. |
| Wardrobe | You are responsible to make sure each actor has the right outfits on. Makeup is applied appropriately. All aspects of the actors wardrobe is worn properly. |
| Art Director | You are responsible for the location decoration/props etc to make the scene look realistic. |
| DP | Director of Photography. You are responsible for filming/videotaping all scenes and framing all shots. |
| SDI | Serial Digital Interface signals used to carry camera (video) signals from the camera to the switcher |
| RG 6 | Coaxial cables used in home tv (Comcast). This cable is heavy duty and carries a single wire inside a braided twist of wires. |
| TD | Operates the switcher during a live production and also sometimes is the director of the production |
