| Cursor | Sometimes called an Insertion pointer, it tells you where text will appear |

| Scroll | Allows you to move around within a document or window |
| Short cut | various key combination to perform commands |
| Template | A collection of styles and other items to make writing certain types of documents easier - such as a letter |
| Wizard | helps you set up and write sample documents |
