Art - word games
You can practise important words and definitions for art, mainly terms to do with colours,using flashcards, matching, memory games and word searches.

| abstract | shapes or forms which are not recognisable |
| blending | merging and overlapping of colours |
| cold colour | a colour on the blue side of the colour wheel, e.g. blue grey |
| contrast | dark against light tones or colour |
| primary colours | the key non-mixed colours such as red, yellow and blue |
| secondary colours | colours mixed by combining two primaries to make another colour, e.g. red + yellow = orange |
| tertiary colours | colours mixed by combining adjacent primary and secondary colours |
| complementary colours | colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel, e.g. red and green |
