poem | a type of writing that is characterized by, rhyme, rhythm and stanza |
licorice sticks | a stick of licorice candy that is about 7 cm long |
rhyme | words at the end of lines in a stanza that have the same vowel sound |
rhythm | a strong, regular, repeated pattern of beat or sound in a line of poetry |
stanza | a group of lines forming the basic recurring metrical unit in a poem; a verse. |
vowel | sounds produced from the letter a, e, i, o, u, these sounds can be either long or short as in make or cat. |
