(Ref. a) | Document unexcused absences as “U”s on the Unit/Individual IPR, annotate the NAVRES 1570/2 (Satisfactory Participation Requirements) and send to member via certified mail within 5 working days. When members fail to meet the satisfactory participation requirements, they will no longer be eligible for receipt of Reserve Incentive Bonus, Reserve Montgomery GI Bill entitlement or recommendation for advancement or promotion. |
| .7 When can a drill period be rescheduled, and for what reason(s)? (Ref. a) | The drill period can be rescheduled at any time prior to the end of the IDT in question for special circumstances such as work conflict, personal hardship, valid Navy mission or if the regular drill period falls during an AT. |
| .8 Discuss the Administrative Unsatisfactory Participation (Admin U) process. (Ref. a) | If the Unit CO to whom the member reports for drill determines the member's performance during the IDT period is unsatisfactory, the member's IDT period may be declared unsatisfactory for administrative purposes only. Document the IDT period as “P” on the Unit/Individual IPR, and annotate unsatisfactory participation in the remarks section. Annotate the unsatisfactory participation as “Admin U” on the NAVRES 1570/2, and send a signed copy to the member by certified mail within five working days of the unsatisfactory IDT period. File the original NAVRES 1570/2 and one signed copy in the member’s IDT folder. |
| .9 Discuss the removal of Unexcused/Authorized Absence and Admin U policy. (Ref. a) | Cannot be removed or changed without NRA CO approval. Unit CO shall submit a letter to the NRA CO within 45 days of the absence or Admin U with a complete explanation of the circumstances. A copy shall be maintained in the Individual IPR Folder. Greater than 45 days requires CNRFC approval. |
| .10 Discuss the proper mustering procedures for an individual reschedule in EDM. (Ref. b) | The mustering official must be of paygrade E6 and above for military or GS5 and above for civilian. (1) Log into your ESR and select EDM. (2) Click Electronic Muster Report. (3) Enter the Search Criteria, in ALL CAPS, (Sailor’s Name) and click Search. (4) Select the applicable Electronic Muster Report. (5) Verify the Service Member’s information, to include the IDT Date(s) and Period(s) (6) Verify the Request Type is Reschedule. (7) Select the appropriate Drill Period Muster type (satisfactory or unsatisfactory). (8) Enter Tasks and Accomplishments and click “OK.” (9) Select the “Accept” checkbox. (10) Select the certification checkbox, then “Save.” |
