Indian Citizenship Act of 1924This law granted citizenship to all American Indians born in the United States.
Undesirable Aliens Act of 1929 (Blease’s Law)This law was passed to restrict Mexican Immigration, it made “unlawfully entering the country” a misdemeanor and returning after a deportation a felony.
Haitian Refugee Immigrant Fairness Act (1998This allowed certain Haitian nationals who had been residing in the United States to become legal permanent residents.
Homeland Security Act (2002)This created the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which came about due to the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
