Three Categories of TransitionsSubtle, Exciting, Dynamic Content
Subtle transitionsThe most basic types of transitions which use simple animations to move between slides, such as "fade," "push," and "wipe."
Exciting transitionsSlide transitions which use more complex animations to transition between slides such as such as "dissolve," "curtains," and "checkerboard" which are more visually interesting but can make your presentation look less professional when used too much.
Dynamic ContentAlthough listed under "slide transitions", this transition effect DOES NOT move the slide but only the placeholders within the slide when using similar slide layouts between two slides.
Steps in Applying Transitions1) Select the desired slide from the Slide Navigation pane. This is the slide that will appear after the transition. 2) Click the Transitions tab in the Ribbon 3) Locate the Transition to This Slide group. By default, None is applied to each slide. 4) Click the More drop-down arrow to display all transitions. 5) Click a transition to apply it to the selected slide. This will automatically preview the transition.
To Remove a Transition1) Select the slide with the transition you want to remove. 2) Choose None from the Transition to This Slide group. The transition will be removed. 3) Preview to ensure removal
Apply to All CommandThe command found in the Transition Tab after selecting "None" for slide transitions to remove transitions from all slides.
