| Hexcode | A way of representing colors from various color models through hexadecimal (Base 16) values. A hexadecimal color follows the format #RRGGBB, where RR is red, GG is green, and BB is blue. These hexadecimal integers can be in a range of 00 to FF to specify the intensity of the color. |
| Patterns | An image that is repeated, or tiled, when you use it to fill a layer or selection. Preset patterns that can be applied to backgrounds or images are available. |

| Crop Tool | Destructive tool to permanently delete unwanted parts of an image. Changes the size of the image in the process. |
| Eraser Tool | Erases pixels in an image using a brush shape. |
| Background Eraser Tool | Uses Photoshop’s AI to identify and erase the background of an image. |
| Magic Eraser | Automatically erases part of an image by sampling a color and erasing all of that color from the image. |
| Smudge Tool | Pushes pixel colors in the direction of the mouse. |
| Blur Tool | Blends colors to create a blur using a brush shape. |
| Sharpen Tool | Increase the contrast between pixels to artificially sharpen an image. |
| Dodge Tool | Brightens areas of an image using a brush. |
| Burn Tool | Darkens areas of an image using a brush. |
| Sponge Tool | Saturate or desaturate part of an image using a brush shape. |

| Color Replacement Tool | Uses a brush to replace a color in an image with the color of the brush. |
| Paint Bucket Tool | Fills a selection or area of an image with a single color. |
| Gradient Tool | Fills a selection or area of an image with a gradual change of colors. |
| Pen Tool | Tool that allows you to draw free formed shapes or paths. |
| Add Anchor Point Tool | Adds anchor points to a path. |
| Delete Anchor Point Tool | Removes anchor points from a path. |
| Convert Point Tool | Converts corner points to curved points and vice versa. |
| Stroke / Fill | The stroke is the color on the outside of a shape (the path) and the fill is the inside color. Strokes can be applied to any layer in photoshop to create a color border. |
