Delta,  | A triangular deposit of sand and soil that collects at the mouth of some rivers. |
Gulf,  | Part of an ocean extending into land and usually larger than a bay. |
atoll,  | ring shaped island formed by coral buildup on the rim of an underater volcano. |
canyon,  | deep, narrow valley with high steep walls |
glacier,  | large body of ice that moves across the earth's surface |
jungle,  | densley overgrown land with tropical vegetations |
ocean,  | large continuous body of salt water |
sea,  | body of salt water surrounded almost entirely by land |
sound,  | long,wide body of water connecting larger bodies of water, larger than a channel |
badlands,  | area of barrenl and with roughly eroded ridges and peaks |
desert,  | dry areas of land, desolate, waterless, and without vegetation |
lagoon,  | shallow pool of water at the center of an atoll |
peninsula,  | piece of land that is surrounded by water on three sides-larger than a cape |
swamp,  | lowland region saturated by water |
cave,  | underground hollow often having an opening in the side of a hill or cliff |
dune,  | in deserts and on beaches, windblown sands that have formed hills |
hill,  | part of land that rises noticeably above the rest of the land |
lake,  | body of water completely surrounded by land |
plain,  | flat or gently rolling lands |
