Usage of noun cases for nominative, gentive, dative, accusative and ablative.

genitive | possession ('s, s' or of plus a noun) |
dative | indirect object (person to whom something is said, done, given, etc) |
accusative | direct object (read subj & verb, ask what or whom? answer is direct object); also used after some prepositions |
ablative | object (word following) certain prepositions |
