| Prisms | Solid polyhedrons which have multiple faces, edges, vertices, and bases |
| Vertex | The point where 2 edges intersect or join. |
| Pyramid | A solid polyhedron with triangular faces and only 1 base. |
| Edge | Formed when two or more faces intersect or join together. |
| How are prisms & Pyramids named? | By the shape of their bases |
| Congruent Figures | Figures that have the same shape and are the same size. |
| Similar Figures | Figures which have the same shape, but may NOT have the same size. |

| Flip | Turn over |
| Circle | A closed plane figure formed by all points that are the same distance from the center. |
| Center | The given point in a circle where all points are the same distance from each other. |
| Chord | A line segment which extends across a circle. |
| Diameter | A line segment whcih passes through the center of a circle. Twice the radius. |
| Radius | A line segment that connects the center of a circle with one point on the circle. One half of the diameter. |
| Line of Symmetry | A line which cuts a figure in half, and leaves a resulting image which is exactly the same. |
| Point | Used to describe an exact location in space. |
| Line | A straight path made up of points in a plane. It goes on forever in BOTH directions. |
| Line Segment | Part of a line. It is a straight path with 2 endpoints. |
| Plane | All points that form a flat surface. It extends in ALL directions |
| Ray | Part of a line that has one endpoint and goes on forever in ONE direction. |
| Angle | When 2 rays have the same endpoint, it forms this. |
| Octagon | 8 sided, 8 angled figure |
| Hexagon | 6 sided, 6 angled figure |
| Pentagon | 5 sided, 5 angled figure |
| Quadrilateral | 4 sided, 4 angled figure |
| Polygon | A many sided geometric figure. |
