Declarative | Makes a statement |
Interrogative | Asks a question |
Imperative | Gives a command/makes a request |
Exclamatory | Shows excitement or strong feeling |
Subject | Tells whom or what the sentence is about |
Complete Subject | Includes all the words in the subject |
Simple Subject | Is the main word or words in the complete subject |
Predicate | Tells what the subject does, is, has, or feels |
Complete Predicate | Includes all the words in the predicate |
Simple Predicate | Is the main word or words in the complete predicate. It is always a verb. |
