Histology of the Digestive Tract

The Digestive System is composed of 4 tunics, mucosa, submucosa, muscularis, & serosa or adventitia.What is each component composed of or where is each located?

MucosaInnermost tunic, consists of a mucous epithelium, a lamina propria, & a muscularis mucosae.
Submucosa2nd innermost tunic, Connective Tissue layer containing the sibmucosal plexus(part of the enteric plexus), blood vessels, and small glands.
Muscularis2nd outermost tunic, consist of inner layer of circular smooth muscle & an outer layer of longitudinal smooth muscle, the myenteric plexus is between the two muscle layers.
Serosa or AdventitiaOutermost tunic of the digestive tract, consist of Connective tissue layer & Peritoneum.
