TrapeziusA muscle that originates at the occipital bone and the vertibrae and inserts at the scapula and clavicle. One of it's functions is to shrug the shoulders.
Pectoralis minorA muscle that originates at the second to fifth ribs and inserts at the coracoid process of the scapula. One of it's functions is to pull the shoulder down and forward.
Serratus anteriorA muscle that originates at the upper eight or nine ribs and inserts at the anterior surface of the scapula. One of it's functions is to pull the shoulder forward.
Pectoralis majorA muscle that originates at the clavicle, sternum, and the costal cartilages of the true ribs and inserts at the humerus. One of it's functions is to adduct the upper arm anteriorly.
Latissimus dorsiA muscle that originates at the vertebrae and iliac crest and inserts at the humerus. One of it's functions is to adduct the upper arm posteriorly.
DeltoidA muscle that originates at the clavicle and scapula and inserts on the lateral side of the humerus. One of it's functions is to abduct the upper arm.
Biceps brachiiA muscle that originates at the Scapula and inserts at the radius. One of it's functions is to flex the supinated forearm.
BrachialisA muscle that originates at the humerus and inserts at the ulna. One of it's functions is to flex the pronated forearm.
Triceps brachiiA muscle that originates at the scapula and humerus and inserts at the ulna. One of it's functions is to extend the lower arm.
IliopsoasA muscle that originates at the Ilium and T12 to L5 and inserts at the femur. One of it's functions is to flex the thigh.
Rectus femorisA muscle that originates at the ilium and inserts at the tibia by way of the patellar tendon. One of it's functions is to flex the thigh.
