| Aesthetic Judgement: | The users/viewers opinion of an object. These judgements can be either instinctive or based on specific aesthetic criteria. |
| Bauhaus: | German school of architecture and design founded at Weimar in 1919, by the architect, Walter Gropius. In removing the conventional distinctions that had existed between the fine and applied arts, the Bauhaus, introducing new concept of art making based on craftwork skills. |
| Creative insight | The moment of problem solution usually as a result of lateral or alternative holistic thinking. |
| Critical Judgement: | An opinion based on an individuals knowledge and experience. |
| Contemporary: | Refers to the immediate past, 20 years. |
| Intuitive: | Instinctive, insightful. |
| Image: | Representation, likeness or illusion of a thing. |
| Manipulate: | Work by hand with skill. |
