| National Bank and Bank of the U.S. | Sec. of Treasury Alexander Hamilton called for Congress to set up a national bank. Government collected in taxes and deposited it into the bank. The bank made loans to farmers and businesses. |

| Whiskey Tax | Tax on all liquor made and sold in the United States. |
| Whiskey Rebellion | Began because of the tax on whiskey and taxing of farmers. Triggered by the summons of William Miller to appear in court he would have to travel the long journey and pay $250 in fees. |
| French Revolution | Rebellion against the king because of middle class paying heavy taxes. A constitution was created to limit the power of the King. |
| Neutrality proclamation | Washington issued this and stated that there would not be support of either side during the French Revolution |
| Jay's Treaty | Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court was sent to England; conditions were: Britain had to pay damages for American ships seized in 1793, Americans had to pay debts to British merchants owed from before the revolution, Britian agreed to give up forts it still held in the Ohio Valley |

| Battle of Fallen Timbers | Indian Nations joined together, armed with weapons supplied by the British, against white settlers in their Northwest Territories. Washington's army defeated the joined Indian Nations. |
| Treaty of Greenville | 1 year after Battle of Fallen Timbers, the 12 Indian Nations signed this with the U.S. The Indians gave up land that was later the southern half of Ohio, and received $20,000 and promise of more money if peace ensued. |
| Washington's farewell address | Urged the U.S. to remain neutral in its relations with other countries, and called for Americans to avoid polical parties. |
