carcioma in situreferring to localized tumor cells that have not invaded adjaent structures. Cancer of the cervix may begin as carcinoma in situ.

pleomorphiccomposed of a variety of types of cells
scirrhousdensely packed tumors, overgrown with fibrous tissue
undifferentiatedlacking microscopic structures typical of normal mature cells
well differentiatedstructure typical (closely resembles the normal parent tisssue of their origin) of normal mature cells
