| Divine Revelation | God making Himself and His plan of salvation known to the world. |

| Messiah | Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, that God promised to send to save His people. |
| Christ | A word meaning "Anointed One". Jesus is the Anointed One of God, the Messiah. |
| Incarnation | Jesus Christ is true God and true man. |
| miracle | The amazing deeds performed by Jesus that are signs of God's love and care for people. |
| Passover | A Jewish feast celebrating God's freeing the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and leading them to freedom in the land He had promised. |
| Last Supper | The last meal Jesus celebrated with His disciples at which He gave the Church the gift of His Body and Blood |
| Resurrection | The raising of Jesus from the dead by God on the third day after His death and burial. |
| Ascension | The return of the risen Jesus to His Father in heaven. |
| Advocate | A word meaning "one who speaks for someone else". A name or title for the Holy Spirit |
| Pentecost | The day that the Holy Spirit came to the disciples as Jesus had promised. |
| Apostles | The first shepherds of the Church, the disciples to whom Jesus gave the responsibility and authority to baptize and to teach in His name. |
| sacrifice | To give up something of value out of love. |
| Corporal Works of Mercy | Seven ways we live Jesus' command to love others as He did by helping people care for their bodily needs. |
| People of God | A New Testament image for the Church that teaches that God has called all people to be His people. |
| Body of Christ | A New Testament image for the church which teaches that the members of the Church are one in Christ. |
| Pope | The successor of St. Peter and the leader of Catholics all over the world. |
| Bishops | Teachers who lead us in the celebration of the sacraments and guide us in living holy lives. |
