Map and Globe Vocabulary

Introduction: What is the difference between an island and a peninsula? What is used to explain symbols on a map? As a follow up to our lesson on maps and globes here is a fun way to help you remember some important terms. You are going to play a matching game where you will match landforms found on a map or globe with their definitions. Example: Maps-A picture that shows us a place.

Directions: Match the vocabulary word with its correct definition. Before you make any attempts please print a copy of the game board. After your attempts please print a copy of your results and bring both copies to class for me to review.
