Military Time Practice
Military time is used for documentation purposes because it eliminates the need for “a.m.” and “p.m.” designations after a time entry and reduces confusion. It converts a standard 12 hour clock into a 24 hour clock. Military time is always written with four digits, the first two digits represent the hour and the last two digits represent the minutes. A zero (0) is used as a placeholder for recording time with only three digits.
