Dr. Fred's Physics Page
Conceptual Physics Class
The Games, Quizzes, and Resource Links on this site will help you learn skills, terms and concepts about physics. They will supplement the material covered in our textbook, Conceptual Physics by Paul Hewitt.
The Games will help if you are having difficulty learning the terms or concepts of Physics.
You can take a Quiz at any time, to see how you've progressed.
The Useful Links provide additional readings and activities to help you learn the material in this course.
Here are the lessons available for the course. Click on the link to get to the lesson.
A Suggestion!
Start each session with the short QUIZ, to see what you already know. Write down your score. It's not part of your grade. It's just to let you know where you are, and to track your progress.
Then, try the GAMES (JAVA GAMES, HANGMAN, etc.) to help you learn terms you need to understand the topic.
At the end of your session, take the QUIZ again, to see how much you've improved.
For each unit, there will be a Quest (More than a Quiz, Less than a Test.) The name of the Quest is in the third column of the list above. Click on the "Quiz Session Log In" link on the lower right side of the useful links section of this page. Enter the Quest name in the Session Name box, and your first and last name in the Student Name box. Take the Quest, and your score will be recorded. You can repeat the test if you want to try to improve your score. I'll count your highest score.
Most of all, Have Fun Learning.
