Robinhood was not a Democrat, and I am sorry to say that was a Republican either. He was a Libertarian Tax Protester. He did not rob from the rich in order to give it to the poor. He took from the government the money that Sheriff had stolen from the people and returned it to it's rightful owners.

The progressives of today would have us believe that Robinhood was Great Britain's first socialist. That he was dedicated to redistributing wealth by taking from the rich to give to the poor.The Progressives in both political parties would have us believe that they are modern day versions Robinhood and his merry men.

They believe that the rich are entitled to take the wealth of the poor to benefit themelves and their cronies. Robinhood. believed that returning the ill gotten gains  from the o the victims was the righteous thing to do.

Both political parties seem to think that government's has a legitimate right to steal the wealth of the many to benefit the few at the top of the socio-economoic ladder.

They think that the will of the majority is more important than the rule of law. They believe that our nation is, and should be a democracy and that our rights are merely privileges granted to us by the state.
