Gow Shouild We Elect the President

In 1823 James Madison suggested that district wide rather than state wide elections would be vastly superior to the current system.

Allowing over 100 million ignorant and uninformed voters elect the President we would be better off having a panel of non partisan wise electors representing 435 cast the deciding votes.

Voting is not a right, it is a responsibility that should be reserved to citizens that are wllling to study the issues and the candidates before casting their ballot,

In the first proposed amendment Madison and his fellow delegates wanted the states to having one representative for every thirty thousand inhabitants,

tIn order to protect the rights of minorities, Madison to have every Congressional district to get one vote to be cast by a non partisan virtuous man or woman representing the best interests of people in his or her district

nder the current winner take all system

s of allocating electoral votes disenfranchises every one that votes  for the wrong party. The Electoral College wasd created to insure that the voice  of minorities would be heard and state wide elections and the Winner Take All method of allocating electoral votes promotes exactly what the framers on th Constitution were trying t prevent.
