Course Catalogue Description:
This course intends to provide a flavor of technology related to the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It provides students with opportunity to explore the uses of energy sources and machines which make our life easier. It introduces students to the concept of renewable energy and allows them to build simple projects that demonstrate the importance of generating green energy. It also gives students the opportunity to learn and explore Pneumatic systems through real-life practical tasks.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
Define two types of energy and explain their uses. Understand the application of motors and generator in producing electrical energy. Understand the role of capacitor in storing electrical energy. Describe the advantages of renewable energy. Generate energy using renewable sources such as sun, wind and water. Build and explore Pneumatic systems; explain the advantages of using them with real-life examples.
