The objectives of the course are to teach students to use the basic development tools to create computer programs. They are to work in a programming environment collaboratively, and to apply the principles of an acceptable use policy to computer program development. The course will allow students to explore the techniques used in computer games development. Students will use Alice, Game Maker and other tools to create computer game programs. Robots will be assembled and programmed. Student created games will be evaluated, student skill in collaboration will be subject to evaluation, as will the students ability to function within the limits of the fair use of intellectual property of other developers.
This class will go in more depth at a faster rate and these students will receive 3 college credits from Virginia Highlands Community College. These credits may be transfered to another college if you are not planning to attend Virginia Highlands Communtiy College.

All of my classes for the 2010-2011 year need a 1 inch 3 ring binder with pockets and a pen or pencil, and a 1 or 2 gig flashdrive.
