Introductory Phrase Comma Useage
Use commas to set off introductory phrases or clauses.
Caution ! Don't use a comma if the phrase is immediately followed by a verb:
On the rug by the fireplace, a large dog slept.
On the rug by the fireplace slept a large dog.
