Forgotten Fire/Bagdasarian

Main characters: Vahan Kenderian, Selim Bey, Dr & Mrs. Tashian. Setting: Bitlis, Turkey. The story is about Vahan's struggle to survive Armenian persecution by the Turks. After some family members are murdered by Turkish soldiers, Vahan is forced from his home, lives and works in a stable, lives with a Dr. and his wife, eventually makes his way to Constantinople and safety. All questions will assume this intro: "In which book . . ."
