8th Grade - Is it Lie or Lay?

Remember:
Lay ALWAYS has an object.
"Sam will lay the hose by the fence."
Lie NEVER has an object.
"Sam will lie (on the bed).

You don't "lay down on the bed", but you DO "lay your head down on the pillow"

You DO "lie down on the bed", but you DON'T "lie your head down on the pillow"
