2. Past Simple Tense
We often use the simple past to talk about when things happened. We use the simple past with finished time-expressions. Form: S + V.2 (V.ed) I saw the film last week. S + didn't + V.1 I didn't see the film last week. Did + S + V.1 ...? Did you see the film last week? S + WAS/WERE + complement /adj. I was in Prathom 2 last year. I was so upset last night. S + wasn't/weren't + complement/ adj. I wasn't in Prathom 2 last year. I wasn't upset last night. Was/ Were + S + complement/ adj.? Were you in Prathom 2 last year? Were you upset last night?
