Narrative (N.P.) vs Conversational Past (C.P.)

Please make sure to review both forms. The difference is that the narrative past is mostly used in writing. It only contains one verb in the sentence that has somehow changed from the present tense form. See pages 66/67 and 78/79. The conversation past is used more in discussions about past events. It has a helping verb of either haben or sein. That helping verb is conjugated, and the verb that shows the action of the sentence, goes to the end of the sentence and has ge- in front of it and a -t or -en at the end.
