ESSE IMPERFECT (VIDEO PAST)
The imperfect is the past tense that describes something that happens in the past over time. Let's take the verb 'to do'. To be in the imperfect, it can be translated 'I was doing,' 'I used to do,' 'I kept doing.' To form the imperfect of sum, esse, the building block is erā-. To this add the person markers (-m for the first person singular). Remember that -m is mean, and -t is terrible, and -nt is not-nice terrible--these person markers knock off the macron! Be careful below--I will try to trick you by leaving macrons on or taking them off! :) Please choose the correct form of the imperfect (video past) of sum, esse (I am, to be). Have fun!
