An ethanol plant uses the process of fermentation to convert glucose sugar to ethanol and carbon dioxide. A typical semi trailer of corn is about 25,000 kg. Corn is about 62% glucose sugar in the form of the polymer starch. In photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water are converted by green plants into glucose and oxygen.
