The verb "SER" (to be)

Ser, which means “to be,” is an irregular verb. Use ser to describe what a person or thing is like. Here are the present-tense forms:
yo --> soy
tú --> eres
él/ella/usted --> es
nosotros/nosotras --> somos
ustedes/ellos/ellas --> son
